10 Best Places to Jump Into This Summer

Sunshine, swimming and working on your tan – that’s what summer is all about. April brings with it sunny days and the prospects of fun trips to the beach, waters where we can relax and the bright sun to make our holidays enjoyable.

But what great adventurous places are there to head off to? If you are thinking of your next going-away trip, but need some inspirational suggestions of beautiful rebel places to jump into, we have a great list of 10 unique locations we fell in love with, and we are sure you will too!

Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina

Historic, poignant and an absolutely mind-blowing experience, bridge jumping from the Stari Most in Mostar is a great experience for adventure rebels. Not only is the city picturesque and well worth the trip, but the Neretva River has shades of blue never seen before. The bridge is 22 meters high, and jumping from such a height will ensure you hit the waters at approximately 50 mph – an incredible sensation. Just note that you need to book with the local diving club and will be required to pay a small fee, however it is for the upkeep of the bridge.

Oahu and Lanai, Hawaii

Say aloha to the beautiful Hawaii with perfect sand beaches, palm trees, amazing cliffs and year-round sunny weather. For a relaxing holiday, you can swim in the clear blue waters around the islands, and even under the rainforest waterfalls found at various roadside stops. But the adventurous must go to Lanai Island. There you can jump from the 16m high cliffs into the stunning turquoise blue ocean. There’s no doubt about it – you will have the time of your life in and around this paradise on earth.

Zakynthos, Greece

With the nickname ‘The flower of the East’, this Greek island lives up to its name. It is a gorgeous island in the Ionian sea and holds a base-jumping jewel – the Navagio Beach. Also called the Shipwreck Beach, just one selfie from this beach will make your friends back home insanely jealous with its picture postcard setting. But for the rebel, this is the extreme sports place to be – here you can choose to base jump or rope jump. It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and should be at the top of any base jumping bucket list.

Porto Venere, Italy

Located not too far from the city of La Spezia and the Cinque Terre National Park, in the incredible country of Italy, Porto Venere is a town which offers tourists a dream holiday destination. Situated on the Ligurian coast, you can both swim and dive. There are a plethora of places where you can jump into the Ligurian Sea, otherwise, while you are out of the water, there are many castles, churches, and Roman ruins to explore as this is a declared World Heritage Site. That’s Italy for you – served on a silver platter!

Chapada Diamantina, Brazil

400 kilometers from the city Salvador in Brazil, the “Diamond Plateau” – Chapada Diamantina, is a children’s playground for the adventurous. This Brasilian National Park has numerous hills, valleys, lagoons, caves and cliffs and it is a great place to go trekking. We can recommend at least one great place to jump into, and that is the ‘Devil’s Pool’. With surprisingly dark waters, from the top of the waterfall, you will experience a magnificent view of the landscape, frequent rainbows and a troop of inquisitive monkeys to cheer you on for a truly spectacular jump.

Verdon Gorge, France

The Verdon Gorge in France is also known as the ‘Verdon Grand Canyon’, only a lot greener that its American cousin, the name already testifies to its beauty and splendour. Considered as the most beautiful river canyon in all of Europe, it is a popular tourist attraction located close to the French Riviera. Every adventurer will be pleased with this destination, as you can enjoy scenic walks, bungee jumping as well as cliff diving amongst numerous other outdoor activities.

Pamukkale, Turkey

This place must be visited at least once in your life. Add it to your bucket list right now, as it is absolutely unbelievable. Located in southwestern Turkey, this natural wonder is breathtaking, and with a name which means ‘Cotton Castle’, it is no wonder. White rock, reminiscent of snow, makes up the water terraces. There is a hot spring pool at the top where you can bathe, and also make sure to stop at the Hierapolis ruins which date from the 3rd century AD.

Krka, Croatia

Krka is a river in the Krka National Park that is well known for the famous Skradinski Buk falls, one of Croatia’s most spectacular landscapes. The Skradinski Buk falls is actually made up of 17 different falls, with various heights. Another really amazing place you can jump into is the Roski Slap, close to the Roski Slap Hydroelectric Power Plant, where you can also take boat excursions on the river. This great destination is close to the coast, so rebels, you have no excuse not to go there!

Havasu Falls, Arizona

With blue-green waterfalls, this hidden gem is actually a part of the Grand Canyon. It is the perfect secluded place to go to, as it can only be reached with a ten-mile hike, so we hope you like hiking. To cool off, this is a great place to swim, but just know that you jump at your own risk, as the water is not equally deep everywhere. As an added bonus, you can have an opportunity to learn more about Native Americans, as this corner of Arizona is home to the Havasupai people.

Ayia Napa, Cyprus

Not just another picture perfect island destination, the Ayia Napa is well known among tourist for Nissi Beach, a popular clubbers destination. But for the adventure rebels, Ayia Napa also has gorgeous cliffs to jump from. Keep an eye open for the rocks that you can see under the perfect blue waters, and everything should be fine. Besides a great nightlife and clubbing parties, there are scuba diving, water-skiing, and windsurfing – a must-see destination for us rebels.
